Job Title: Project Assistant (Based in Istanbul)

Location: Istanbul
Job Purpose: To support the project management team and contribute to the effective delivery of the project activities.

BINA is a program dedicated to help developing communities to develop the human and economic capacity needed to achieve resilience and prosperity. Since its founding in 2017 in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank, Spark, and other partners, the BINA Program has focused on economic empowerment as a means of fostering stability, resilience, and adaptability in the communities where the projects have been launched. BINA program has been making a positive impact in the region, with a number of business incubators established in countries like Turkey, Somalia, Libya, and Mauritania, with a strategic plan to expand to other countries. These incubators were established primarily to provide training, coaching, mentoring, and access to finance for MSMEs and entrepreneurs in the region.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To undertake specific tasks on the identified project, under the supervision of a Project Manager, including:
- Following the project implementation plan in cooperation with the Project Manager and the implementation team.
- Organizing planned training programs (mentorship, networking, entrepreneurship, seminars, etc.)
- Supervise the implementation of projects’ activities in a daily manner. This includes directing activities, avoiding mistakes, and receiving and submitting project reports.
- Prepare the reports to be reviewed and developed by the project manager to be submitted to donors.
- Managing Outreach Activities and following up on the implementation of them (website, newsletters, social media, etc.)
- Prepare daily training schedules and follow up the implementation with mentors, coaches, and trainers.
- Providing translations of documents, and communications when needed.
- Logging and tracking all Project Plans and project documentation.
- Providing mentorship to entrepreneurs and start-ups on using e-Bina
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- University degree (preferably in Business Administration or similar).
- Experiences and Skills:
- Project management experience necessary.
- Ability to prepare and review high-quality reports.
- A minimum of one year experience in a similar position.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in start-ups, SMEs, and Entrepreneurship.
- Full computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and project management software.
- Languages:
– Fluency in Arabic.
– Fluency in English.
– Working knowledge of Turkish is advantageous.
