His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Trade Sponsors the Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Bina Entrepreneurship Incubator – Yemen
On Sunday, September 15, 2024, His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Ashwal, sponsored the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Binaa Entrepreneurship Incubator – Yemen at the Ministry’s General Office in the capital, Aden. His Excellency received Dr. Rabie bin Ali Al-Awbathani, Chairman of the Binaa Entrepreneurship Incubator – Yemen. Minister Al-Ashwal initially learned from Dr. Al-Awbathani about the efforts made by the Binaa Entrepreneurship Incubator – Yemen to enhance and develop the entrepreneurship environment in Yemen and empower youth and develop their capabilities to establish innovative commercial projects that benefit them and contribute to the development of the national economy. For his part, Minister Al-Ashwal emphasized the Ministry’s support for creating an entrepreneurial environment and supporting these courageous initiatives in light of the current circumstances facing the country. He affirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide all possible assistance to the Binaa Entrepreneurship Incubator to enable it to carry out its work to the fullest extent.
At the conclusion of the meeting, sponsored by His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ashwal: The agreement was signed by Mr. Mohammed Al-Hamidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Foreign Trade, and Dr. Rabie bin Ali Al-Awbathani, Chairman of the Binaa Incubator for Entrepreneurship – Yemen. The Memorandum of Understanding aims to cooperate and work together between the Ministry and the Incubator to improve the entrepreneurship environment in Yemen, in line with the Ministry’s direction to develop the business environment in line with technical, artistic, and administrative developments, governance systems, and institutional frameworks in the private sector. The MoU also aims to cooperate in strengthening and encouraging the role of entrepreneurs and youth across the Republic of Yemen by assisting young people, those with innovative ideas, innovators, and inventors, by training and incubating them, providing guidance and counseling services, conducting economic feasibility studies, and transforming innovative ideas in all vital sectors into valuable entrepreneurial projects and models to be emulated, contributing effectively to the development of the Yemeni economy. The memorandum also aims to integrate entrepreneurs into the commercial, industrial and service business environment in Yemen, and to enhance their role in formulating and discussing future visions for the Yemeni economy, as well as highlighting the role of young entrepreneurs and businesswomen in the work and activities of chambers of commerce throughout the Republic, and seeking to enhance the culture of work and partnership and the formation of joint economic communities and blocs between young people, business owners and commercial houses..
